Saturday 5/2 @ 6pm – Guys Night w/ Coach Mick
5 rounds plus a minute of sit-ups at the end (shoulder was bugging me so I redirected myself:). ~50# HPC, 20# push press. Plus tabata and DB swings.
5 rds + 20 PC & 20 PP with 22.5# DB. That was a long first 10 mins, the second half of the workout flew by!
5+45 Rx with 35# DB.
Deadlifts before WOD:
6×6 @ 285#
6 rds + 55 @ 20# DB. Good one, but total sweat fest, even in my cold garage!

Did DB cleans from the hang position to save my back
Didn’t want to push my calf too much from yesterday so did my own work out. Alternating btwn 10 bench press & 5 unbroken strict ring pull-ups for 4 rounds. 125 – 140 increasing by 5. cash out was 270# hand-over-hand sled pull.
Did today’s WOD with an 85# barbell. It really kicked my butt. Felt pretty weak on the BB but pushed through. Got 4+17.
Completed the Tabata followed by the weekly challenge. Used a 44# KB today and did the 50 RKBS unbroken.

Pilotwings 5pm class – 5+52 w/ 50#DB. Definitely came out too hot and it turned into sweat fest quickly.
This am I did the handstand hold work from Sunday’s gymnastic class + 10 mim EMOM 5-7 strict deficit handstand push ups + 5×5 Push Press from floor @ 180

6 rounds + 8 cleans. Cleans with #25 DB then I did two handed strict press with a #20 DB. I was totally smoked!
I think I’m currently living in a documentary on the life of Kevin Merle. And I’m telling you, it would have you all on the edge of your seats. Garden and kitchen chronicles sprinkled with a hundred other projects in between. Some seemingly meaningless, but in that moment it’s the only thing that matters. Life of a grandpa with a twist at every corner.
Did yesterday’s wod to celebrate the nice weather. Mario cart: 25:47z. Our loop is about .55mi and singles. Did the kB challenge with the 44# today. 5X10 Russian swings

My shoulders were BEAT today, so it was a mentally tough WOD to push through for me.
Nice weather, so I did Super Mario Cart from Monday – 17:59, 800m run and 100 single unders. First 800m was at 3:40, last 800 was at 3:20.
QOTD – Working Hard or Hardly Working – The plight of a father trying to work from home during a pandemic while overseeing his 2nd grader’s schoolwork. 😜
Pilotwings: 7+20 (30# MB), bruised my finger yesterdayand still a little swollen so let it heal today not gripping the DB. The stimulus was definitely still achieved!!
As always the highlight of my day is getting to see everyone throughout the day in all the classes!

Well I did 7am live again and I only made 4 rounds. I was tired. Those burpees. But I felt good all day after 80 burpees plus all the other. We shall see. Maybe tomorrow early ?
