WOD Modifications-
If you don’t have a vest, but you want a little extra spice, load up a backpack and wear it (front or back!)
Lunges- Decrease Reps 80/70/60/50, Step Ups, Air Squats, Hip Thrusts
Wall Sit- Decrease Time 4/3/2 Minutes, Bottom of Squat Hold, Plank Hold, Table Top Hold

WOD Guidance-
Steady pace on the lunges. Each lunge step counts as a rep.
We are accumulating 5 minutes– so break up wall sit into manageable increments that do not require excessive rest between holds.

Tabata followed by 13:51 RX with 20lb vest. That wall sit was wayyyyyy more torturous than predicted. 🤣 cereal before milk, is there really any other way?
I looked at the clock when done but now I’ve forgtten the number. I think I was around 17:ish minutes.
I put a 25# plate in a backpack and used that for the lunges.
Followed by Tabata.

QOD: Cereal before milk. I have an ideal amount of cereal to pour. If milk is already there, the cereal is going to sit on top of the milk until it gets soggy and then sink. With my perfect amount of cereal, milk will fill up all the nooks and crannies. Ok…way too much thought went into this 😂
14:42- 20# vest 100 Lunges, 3:20 wall sit, 100 Lunges. Had a plan to adjust to stay under the 15:00 and needed it. Wall sit was harder than expected. Wanted 1:00 sets w/:15 sec rest but mod to :40 w/:05 – :10 rest. Tabata afterwards. I’m not sure I’ll be able to move tomorrow after these 2!
QOD: Have to piggy back on Mike Earls & Casey.
Nice work Tom! The first wall sit was brutal right after the lunges. I had aimed for :45-1:00 sets but lasted :30 on the first one (though it felt like a min!). Ended up doing the same :30-:40 sets and rest up to :10 to shake out the legs.
Active recovery day. 2.5 mile walk, pre-recorded Zumba class 🙂 and daily tabata.

17:35 body weight. Tabata. 3 mile walk. After reading Casey’s message yesterday about rest days, it just occurred to me that I haven’t taken one since March 29. After today’s torture, I. Am. Due. My legs are already on fire and my core is so sore from all the abs this week!
QOD: I don’t eat cereal. And no dairy at the moment. 🙁
12:57 RX with vest. Did a round of Cindy just before the WOD and the Tabata after the 5pm Zoom class. So happy to see Coach Casey as today’s 5pm coach!!

QOD: Cereal before milk
Sequoia – 12:40 Body weight. Was able to move through the 1st round of lunges quickly, then the quad burn from the wall sits. Broke it up in 30-sec sets, with quick shake outs. Quads were like tree trunks on the 2nd set of lunges, but got back up to speed after 50.
Tabata with class.
QOTD – Milk after cereal. May pour extra cereal in if milk leftover from first serving.
15:54 Worked out in my basement and I had to use the hand rail to pull myself up the stairs.

Think my body is failing me, took a nice looong rest day today….. About to get in some before bed stretching/ mobility/ yoga with the recorded classes!

QOD: The other day my 7 year old was making himself cereal and was about to pour the milk first. I stopped him and said only crazy people do that! I probably shouldn’t have said that to him, but I’m sure you can guess my answer now…
Oops I forgot to post last night. Loved the Tabata time Thursday and did the WOD myself. It does sneak up on you but I liked it. Gave my arms a rest!
