WOD Guidance:
This workout pairs an incredibly high skill movement in the muscle-up with a very low-skill movement in the air squat. While in the past we have offered burpee pull-ups as a scale for muscle-ups, that is not appropriate for today’s workout given the volume of burpees that we did yesterday. While we won’t be using burpee pull-ups as a scale, your coach may want to offer some type of pull-up + dip modification for the muscle-ups, and this is a great way to make the movement accessible for all levels. For our athletes that do have muscle-ups we want to pace out the air squats in such a way that we’re not getting back to the rings too quickly, and able to go on our muscle-ups as soon as we finish the final air squat of each set.
