We would like to introduce your July Member of the Month Kristen C.!
Kristen is a staple of the mid-day classes, either the 8:30am or 12:00pm class! You can find her lifting more and more weight every day in her lifts due to her dedication to improving her technique and mobility, and is also improving rapidly with her confidence and skill on the pull-up bar! Not only does she come in everyday for herself, but also her two daughters get to watch her most days working hard and pushing herself to new limits AND just recently got her husband, Nik, to jump on the TILT train as well! This is a much deserved honor, congratulations Kristen!

What’s something that most people at TILT V may not know about you?
I wanted to be a fighter pilot, so I could fly a plane before I could drive a car.
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Aruba
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about trying CrossFit?
You cannot buy confidence, but that is what CrossFit has given me… pride in what my body can do, in what I can do. A friend once asked me, if you would die for your kids, why wouldn’t you get healthy for them? It is important for my daughters to see me working hard and a newfound pride in my body. I was completely intimidated by the name CrossFit until I was reminded that everyone had a day 1. Everyone started where I was starting.
If there was a workout named “Kristen”, what would the workout be or what movements would the workout consist of?
Power cleans, sit-ups, kettlebell swings, pushups (I enjoy non-leg days best hehe)
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would want to buy?
Logically, the house that I live in; I would pay off my mortgage first. But just for fun, to dream: a beach house, definitely a beach house. We are a salty family.
